Best of Bimini 7-Night Package:

Our trip will officially begin in Ft. Lauderdale where we will sail to Bimini on the Balearia ferry. Departure is scheduled for the AM timeframe with an estimated arrival in Bimini about 2 hours later. Our group will then disembark the ship and head towards the Immigration and Customs office. Once the group clears customs and immigration then we can either walk to the Bimini Big Game Club (approx. a 10 minute walk) or for those who have chosen to begin their vacation hours earlier - take a taxi ($5 pp).

Once there, we will register into our rooms, settle in, check in at the dive shop and then relax at the pool with some island cocktails. This is when "Island Time" will officially take a hold. We will be diving with Neal Watson's Bimini Scuba Center at the Big Game Club Resort. Our diving adventure will begin early the next morning so it is important to not go "all-out" on this first night as this small little piece of paradise has a lot to offer us over the next seven nights.

Our package will include accomodations at The Big Game Club on the North island (dbl occupancy), six days of adventure dives, tanks(air), weights and all the associated taxes that the Bahamian government can muster up. Together this makes for a great six-day diving experience to one of our favorite places in the world. And for you Bimini alumni, we will be doing some of our old favorites and some new stuff including hammerheads and bull sharks.

The package also includes the R/T ferry out of Ft. Lauderdale(approximately a 2-hour ride). Meals are not included as part of the package but we can't wait to once again taste some of Bimini's famous conch salad, peas and rice and of course fresh lobster... whoo hoo!

Incidentally, we will be planning a celebration party by the pool on one of the evenings and there is a rumor going around that Jim's famous 7SD Bimini Punch may be reborn. That may not mean much to some but it certainly will bring back memories for the Bimini alumni. Be afraid - Be very afraid!

PLEASE NOTE: We depart Ft. Lauderdale early on November 4th and our return to Ft. Lauderdale may be late evening on November 11th. We strongly recomended that you schedule your arrival into Ft Lauderdale on the night before the official start of the trip (Nov. 3rd) and your final destination return on the following day of our trip end (Nov. 12th). As a result, you should consider hotel reservations in Ft. Lauderdale close to the airport on those evenings (Nov. 3rd and 12th). One of our favorite locations is the Courtyard Marriott Ft. Lauderdale Airport & Cruise Port (next to Bass Pro Shop). It is about 10 minutes from the airpoirt and the Bass Pro Shop has two restaurants and a bar. As always, we strongly remind you to wait at least 24 hours after the completion of your last dives prior to boarding a plane home.
