was established in 1981 by former Florida Governor Bob Graham and singer/songwriter Jimmy Buffett. SMC was started so the public could participate in conservation efforts to save endangered manatees from extinction.

is a registered nonprofit organization. In partnership with scuba divers and water enthusiasts, Project AWARE offices works to conserve aquatic resources in more than 180 countries and territories of the world.

The Wildlife Land Trust

works with landowners worldwide to protect wild animals by permanently preserving their natural habitats. Lands protected by the Trust provide wild animals with a safe and nurturing environment, free from harmful human interference. Recreational and commercial hunting and trapping are strictly prohibited on Trust-protected sanctuaries.

SeaTurtle.org

was founded with a desire to support research and conservation efforts in the sea turtle community and serves as a one-stop reference to sea turtle information and provides valuable background information and support for conservation efforts related to the Inter-American Convention for the Protection and Conservation of Sea Turtles and X'cacel, Mexico.

dolphin Communication Project

Dolphin Communication Project

DCP works with Bimini Wild Dolphin Adventures and Bimini Undersea for data collection on the dolphins around Bimini. All data is gathered underwater with a video camera and underwater housing. Research trips start from the sheltered port of Alicetown, North Bimini and proceed northward looking for dolphins.
