The PADI Enriched Air Specialty Course (Nitrox)

Padi Enriched Air Course This course is designed to qualify recreational divers in the use of enriched air (“Nitrox”) for “no-stop” recreational diving. The course addresses the use of enriched air with 22 percent to 40 percent oxygen with emphasis on enriched air with 32 and 36 percent oxygen.

Participants who successfully complete the classroom work will satisfy the requirements for certification as a PADI Enriched Air Diver. Class size is limited to 10 students. Venturetrek schedules several instructor led trips throughout the year and qualifying students can register for any of these. Please note that certification trips are not included in the course fee.

  • COURSE MATERIALS - Students will each receive the PADI "Enriched Air Diving" manual (current edition).

    PREREQUISITES - Be of age 12 or older (Note: 12-14 year old divers must have a Junior Advanced Open Water Diver certification or similar certification from a recognized training organization and must be accompanied by a parent during the class), be certified as an Open Water Diver or have a qualifying certification from a recognized training organization, or be a PADI Open Water Diver student (Scuba 1) taking the PADI Enriched Air Diver course concurrently.
